Local Scholarships for Local Students
Scholarship applications open on February 1st and close on March 15th, 2026.
2026-27 Scholarship recipients will be announced in May or June.
We invite you to apply for one of our 2026 higher education scholarships!
We are awarding up to forty-four $2,000 scholarships to members who plan to attend an institution of higher education in Fall 2026. In addition to our forty-four $2,000 scholarships to high school seniors AND continuing education students, we also have four specialty legacy scholarships for members of Peak Credit Union. Students are eligible to apply and potentially receive a scholarship every year of their continuing education post-high school. We'll begin accepting applications on February 1st. The application deadline is March 15th, 2026.
Legacy Scholarships
- Larry Levine Scholarship - $3,500
The awardee must be a Douglas County Resident attending Umpqua College. - Dewey Noblitt Scholarship - $2,000
The awardee must be a graduating senior from Olympia High School. - Jack Jutte Scholarship - $2,000
The awardee must be a graduating senior from Tenino High School. - JoAnne Sanford Vocational School - $2,000
The awardee must be enrolled in a vocational school, or a trade program at a community college.
Scholarships will be awarded to recipients in May or June.
The application period runs from February 1st to March 15th, 2026. Eligibility requirements include:
- Applicants must be members in good standing with Peak Credit Union.
- Applicants must attach proof of enrollment in an institution of higher education. The most commonly accepted forms are a copy of an acceptance letter or registration documentation.
- Applicants must attach a copy of their most recent transcript in the form of a high school transcript or higher education transcript. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted.
- Applicants must attach a letter of recommendation from a non-family member.
- Applicants may earn one additional point in the application scoring by completing a financial course of your choice through MoneyEDU.
To receive a course completion certificate, you must achieve a score of 80% or higher on the selected module.
For returning applicants: You do not need to register again; simply log in using your previously created credentials. After completing the course, you must document the course completion code provided at the end of the module. Please note: The course completion code is required to receive the additional point in the scholarship application scoring.
