Do You Need a Fraud Claim or a Dispute?

Fraud

Fraud occurs when someone uses your card or account without your authorization.

Examples include:

  • Unauthorized purchases
  • Transactions made using a stolen card
  • Charges from someone who gained access to your card information

Dispute

A dispute occurs when you authorized the transaction, but there is an issue with the purchase.

Examples include:

  • Being charged twice
  • Receiving the wrong item
  • Not receiving a product or service you paid for

Next Steps

If you're unsure whether your situation is fraud or a dispute, review our "Fraud vs. Dispute" article or contact Member Services for assistance.
