Directors are the representatives of the member-owners of the credit union. I will continue to work to better understand financial needs of our members and work to further our stated purpose of “Providing everyone with access to financial empowerment and independence.” Board members are responsible for setting the strategic direction and overall governance of the credit union. I take these responsibilities seriously and am committed to helping build Peak Credit Union as an organization that supports its members and the communities we serve. - WHY DO YOU WANT TO SERVE ON THE BOARD?
I am a strong believer in the member-owned, non-profit credit union movement and will work to ensure that Peak Credit Union continues to work to empower financial independence for our members. The credit union space, and broader financial services industry, is undergoing transformational change. Peak Credit Union must be positioned to harness elements of these changes to deliver the best services and products possible for our members. - WHAT WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE TO THE SUPERVISORY COMMITTEE AND CREDIT UNION?
Audits are essential and an important tool for the Board. They are indicators of the health of the credit union and ensure financial soundness, regulatory compliance, and the strength of internal controls. My 30 plus years of experience as a CPA has provided me with excellent skills in performing, managing, and communicating audit results. My experience on the supervisory committee has provided me with a clear understanding of the unique audit requirements and changing accounting and regulatory requirements of credit unions. - WHY DO YOU WANT TO SERVE ON THE SUPERVISORY COMMITTEE?
I would continue my work in building an even stronger committee that supports Peak Credit Union. The credit union has gone through significant growth and changes in recent years. My experience on the committee will benefit the credit union as we continue to navigate these changes. I support the mission and values of the credit union and enjoy being part of an organization that is continually striving to improve.
