Learn how to enroll in Zelle®, send and receive money safely, and find answers to common questions about using Zelle®.
Zelle® is a fast, safe, and easy way to send and receive money directly from your Peak Credit Union mobile app or Digital Banking account. Money is sent directly to the recipient’s account—typically within minutes¹—and all you need is their email address or U.S. mobile phone number.
How to enroll in Zelle®
- Log in to Digital Banking or the mobile app.
- Tap the menu icon and select Send Money with Zelle®.
- Complete a one-time enrollment by selecting the email address or U.S. mobile number and deposit account you want to use.
Once enrolled, you can:
- Select Send Money with Zelle®
- Add or select a contact
- Enter the amount and send
How to use Zelle®
- Send money: Add a trusted recipient’s email or U.S. mobile number, enter the amount, and hit Send.
- Request money: Choose Request, select the contact, enter the amount, and hit Request.
- Receive money: Share your enrolled email or U.S. mobile number with the sender.

What is Zelle®?
Zelle® lets you send money between almost any U.S. bank accounts within minutes¹ using just an email address or U.S. mobile number.
How does Zelle® work?
When you enroll, your name, financial institution, and email or mobile number are shared with Zelle® (not your account details). Zelle® uses this info to route payments securely.
Who can I send money to?
Friends, family, and people you trust². Never send money to someone you don’t know.
How long does it take?
Typically, money is available within minutes¹. If the recipient isn’t enrolled, they’ll get a notification to enroll.
Can I cancel a payment?
Only if the recipient hasn’t enrolled yet. Once enrolled, the payment cannot be canceled.
Is Zelle® secure?
Yes. Zelle® uses the same security measures as your Digital Banking.
Can I use Zelle® internationally?
No. Both accounts must be based in the U.S.
Safety tips for using Zelle®
- Only send money to people you know and trust.
- Treat Zelle® like cash—once sent, it can’t be canceled if the recipient is enrolled.
- Beware of scams (e.g., event ticket scams).
- Peak Credit Union will never ask you to send money via Zelle® for fraud prevention or testing.
